Bad Bunny is ready to take over this summer, but first, he will be performing as the musical guest on the season finale of Saturday Night Live this weekend. In promotional ads for the final episode of the show’s 50th season, released on Thursday (May 15), the Puerto Rican superstar appears alongside guest host Scarlett Johansson and SNL veteran Kenan Thompson, hilariously discussing their plans for the summer.
“Umm… I guess I’ll just do amazing things,” Bad Bunny responds after Thompson asks him what he will be doing during the summer months. “Oh, really? Like what?” Johansson asks, to which the three-time Grammy winner replies, “Just amazing things, don’t worry. My life is amazing, especially in the summer.”
The evasive answer was not enough for Thompson, who couldn’t resist pressing for just one example of all the amazing things Bad Bunny plans to do. The model’s certainly incredible response? “Eating breakfast for dinner.”
In another segment, Johansson excitedly suggests that the final episode will be even bigger, better, and longer than the recent SNL50 anniversary special, to the dismay of Thompson, who points out that the NBC celebration was “like nine hours, so…”. Only when the Black Widow actress proposes that the episode could be even more star-studded than SNL50, does the “DTMF” singer chime in to support Thompson, scolding, “Now you’re just being unrealistic.” (“Yeah, what Bad Bunny said,” Thompson playfully seconds).
Bad Bunny’s appearance on SNL comes at a very opportune time, as his latest album, Debí Tirar Más Fotos, has just returned to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 following its vinyl release. Additionally, the superstar’s actual plans for the summer include his highly anticipated month-long residency at the Coliseum of Puerto Rico, which kicks off on July 11 in San Juan and surprisingly sold 400,000 tickets in just four hours earlier this year.
