Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars’ “Die With a Smile” continues to reign at the top of the Billboard Global 200, marking its twelfth week at No. 1. The ballad also returns to the top spot for an eleventh week on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart. The song first topped both charts back in September. Meanwhile, two new songs debut in the top 10 of both charts: JENNIE’s “Like JENNIE” and Doechii’s “Anxiety.”
As previously reported, Lady Gaga’s MAYHEM debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, the U.S.-based album chart, becoming her seventh album to top the chart. JENNIE’s Ruby, on the other hand, starts at No. 7.
The Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts, which launched in September 2020, rank songs based on streaming and sales activity collected from over 200 territories around the world, according to data compiled by Luminate. The Global 200 includes worldwide data, while Global Excl. U.S. comprises data from territories excluding the United States.
The charts are based on a weighted formula that incorporates only official streams, both from subscription and ad-supported audio and video services, as well as download sales. The latter reflects purchases from full-service digital music retailers worldwide, with direct-to-consumer (D2C) sales excluded from the charts’ calculations.
“Die With a Smile” leads the Global 200 with 116.9 million streams (a 4% increase) and 9,000 units sold (a 17% increase) worldwide during the week of March 7-13.
The Nos. 2-4 spots on the Global 200 remain unchanged, with ROSÉ and Bruno Mars’ “APT.” at No. 2, after leading for 12 weeks starting in November; Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s “Luther” at its peak at No. 3; and Lamar’s “Not Like Us” at No. 4, after topping the chart for four weeks starting last May.
JENNIE’s “like JENNIE” rises to No. 5 on the Global 200 with 68.4 million streams and 6,000 units sold worldwide. The BLACKPINK member scores her fourth solo top 10 on the chart; the group has also amassed four top 10s, while her bandmates LISA (three top 10s), ROSÉ (two) and Jisoo (one) have also reached this tier as soloists.
Also in the Global 200’s top 10, Doechii’s “Anxiety” jumps to No. 6 with 56.9 million streams and 9,000 units sold, marking his first top 10. The song’s story is complex: when it was only available on YouTube, Sleepy Hallow used its hook for the chorus of his own song “A N X I E T Y,” released in 2023 as a track credited to Sleepy Hallow featuring Doechii. The song’s update experienced a resurgence in popularity in 2021, leading to its debut on the charts.
