These experiences can have a significant impact on a student’s ability to learn and succeed in school. As a result, school leaders are increasingly recognizing the need to create a trauma-responsive Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) to support students and improve school outcomes.
MTSS is a framework that provides a comprehensive approach to addressing the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of all students. It is a data-driven, evidence-based system that uses a tiered approach to provide targeted interventions and supports to students based on their individual needs.
