Yuridia and Alejandro Fernández have achieved their first No. 1 together on Billboard’s Regional Mexican Airplay chart with “Un bendito día,” which jumps from No. 15 to the top spot on the chart dated April 26. The song marks the biggest jump to No. 1 in 2025 and the third biggest leap of the decade. “Un bendito día” leads Regional Mexican Airplay and takes the honor of Greatest Gainer – given to the song with the biggest increase in audience in the week – after a 95% increase in audience impressions, reaching 6.5 million in the United States during the tracking week of April 11-17, according to Luminate. The song was released on February 6 through Sony Music Latin and reaches the top in its ninth week on the chart. Univision-owned stations helped drive the climb, led by KLNV San Diego (with a 52-play increase week-over-week), KSCA Los Angeles (with a 47-play increase), and KLNO Dallas (with a 46-play increase).
As “Bendito” reaches the top of Regional Mexican Airplay, Fernández solidifies his position as the solo artist with the second most No. 1 hits, accumulating 12 since 1994. He is only behind Christian Nodal, who leads with 17. Meanwhile, Yuridia achieves her second No. 1, following “Mi eterno amor secreto” with Edén Muñoz (October 2024). On the overall Latin Airplay chart, “Un bendito día” came close to reaching No. 1, jumping 25-2, the biggest climb since Pepe Aguilar’s “Mira quién lo dice” jumped 31-4 in September 2024. There, “Bendito” rises thanks to a 69% increase in audience, reaching 7.2 million. Thanks to this jump, Fernández extends his record as the solo artist of regional Mexican music with the most entries in the top 10, with a total of 29.
